Getting to Bodhi El Valle
Bus from Panama City to El Valle de Anton
From the Main Bus Terminal in Albrook Mall, take the direct bus heading to El Valle de Anton (leaves every 20 minutes until 7pm, $4.50). Upon arrival, ask the driver to drop you off at MELO, Bodhi Hostel is right next door.
Bus from elsewhere to El Valle de Anton:
Take any bus to San Carlos (most that runs on the Inter-American highway pass by there). Transfer to bus for El Valle de Anton. Upon arrival, ask the driver to drop you off at MELO, Bodhi Hostel is right next door.
By Car to El Valle de Anton:
From Panama City, drive west until you pass Coronado and San Carlos. Approximately 5 minutes later, you will see a bridge and a red sign on the right saying Las Uvas. Turn there, and in about 30 minutes you will arrive in El Valle de Anton. Head along the main street until you get to MELO (big yellow sign with green). Bodhi Hostel is located right next door.

Getting to Bodhi Kalu Yala
MetroBus from Panama City to 24 de Diciembre:
From 5 de Mayo or Avenida Balboa, take a bus to either La Doña, Felipillo, Chepo or Pacora. Ask the driver to let you know when you get to La Doña. In La Doña stop (you will see the McDonald’s and KFC on the left hand side of the street). Cross over the blue bridge to get to the shopping plaza: Centro Comercial de la Doña.
From 24 de Diciembre to San Miguel:
Walk to the back of the shopping plaza to the bus terminal and ask for the bus to "San Miguel". The bus will say “San Miguel” or “La Mesa” on the front window. Ask the driver to drop you off at La Piedra de San Miguel. You will be dropped in front of a panamanian restaurant called FONDA, ask for the house of Kalu Yala, walk for 1 minute and you will see a yellow gated two stories house. Costs: $1.75.
Uber from Panama City to San Miguel:
On Uber app, enter the following as the destination: Kalu Yala Basecamp. At the town center you will see a large painted rock that says, “Bienvenidos a San Miguel”, take the gravel road that spurs off to the right along the river, three houses down on the left there is a bright yellow house with a tall white (with rust colored accents) gate. Costs: $30-65.
From San Miguel to Kalu Yala
From San Miguel you can hike and hour and a half to our BaseCamp or meet us at our house in San Miguel, a 4x4 vehicle gets in an out of the Kalu Yala twice a day and the ride costs $ 5. This transportation typically departs the San Miguel house at 11 AM and 3 PM on the day you check-in, but please confirm timing with our hospitality staff prior to arrival.
