La India Dormida Hike

One of El Valle’s most popular attractions makes for a beautiful, not-TOO-strenuous hike with a wonderful view of the town once you reach the top. This hike has four different routes; three are free, and one costs only $3.00.
Walk along the ridge for fantastic views of El Valle de Anton.

Walk down through the leafy shade of the paid entrance (free on the way down!) and stop for a swim at a swimming hole at one of La India Dormida’s small waterfalls.

Near the entrance you will see “La Piedra Pintada,” a large rock covered with ancient petroglyphs. The hike up and down takes approximately 2 hours total.
